The Brett Downey Safety Foundation has had a series of meetings the last couple months and has produced track guidelines to promote safety standards at motocross tracks. Furthermore the foundation is continuing to produce a Flagger Certification Program that will certify its first team of flaggers this week. This team of flaggers will be flagging at the Starwest Memorial Race on March 26th. Also, look for a Rider's Etiquette Program, Rider Safety Guidelines and a Motocross Safety Brochure, all coming soon.

This is just the beginning of what we believe will be a highly successful campaign to improve the safety standards in the sport of motocross. To assure the success of this campaign it will take a team effort from riders, track owners, promoters, industry companies and the entire motocross community. We thank everyone for their continued support and together we can make motocross safer!

The Track guidelines are safety standards that should be implemented by track owners and promoters. The guidelines can serve as a checklist for riders when they arrive at a motocross track to race or practice. The foundation will be working along-side track owners and promoters to help in anyway we can to implement these Track Guidelines. At this time the foundation is currently concentrating on motocross tracks in Southern California . We hope to work with tracks outside Southern California in the near future .
